It’s our hope that at Emerge you can have a genuine experience with God that makes you feel more alive than ever before!
Our services are filled with excitement, music, and Bible-centered messages for every age and stage of your family. The reason we meet is so that we can change. We believe that church should be life-giving, which means that you leave with more than you came.
Church is more than just filling a seat on Sunday. The more we meet together to expand our faith, the stronger we become as Christians and as a community! Emerge seeks to create opportunities for discipleship throughout the week in the form of classes, small groups, worship experiences, and prayer meetings. We invite you to engage with your faith by connecting with other believers beyond our Sunday morning service.
We also hope that you experience the power and satisfaction of serving others. Our Dream Team of volunteers work hard each week to make church happen, and you are welcome to become part of that team! We are a powerful force of friendly greeters, exciting teachers, talented musicians, and devoted servants. We couldn’t do this without all of our awesome volunteers!
Service goes beyond the walls of Sunday morning services. We want to see more stronger Christians in Hanover! Emerge is excited to be part of the church community in southern Pennsylvania, and we welcome you to join us for the journey!
OUR STORY
Emerge began on April 5, 2015 as a second campus of Crosswind Church, located in Westminster, MD, with the goal of helping people in Hanover find life’s true direction through Jesus Christ. Every Sunday, we met at the R/C Hanover Movies 16 on Eisenhower Drive, turning a movie theater into a place to worship Jesus Christ and learn about His life-changing truth. In February of 2018, Emerge became an independent non-denominational church, continuing to meet at R/C theaters.
The next significant stage in our journey began on July 14, 2019 when Emerge and Hanover Foursquare Church became one church family. HFC was established as a local congregation of the Foursquare church in 1946. Emerge is excited to continue that legacy in Hanover of declaring that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever! In May 2020 Emerge moved into the Hanover Foursquare Building, making 518 Wilson Avenue our new permanent home! We sing our hearts out to Jesus and allow His truth to change who we are. We hope that you will be a part of this emerging story!
